The Ancillary Relief process can be very complicated and you are advised to seek independent legal representation when contemplating how the assets of the marriage are to be dealt with. We have particular expertise in more complex divorce disputes dealing in high value asset cases. In all cases, we seek to give our Clients clear, cost-effective advice of their options.
The best way to resolve financial matters is by agreement between the parties following full and frank disclosure of all financial matters and after taking expert legal advice. If agreement can be reached the agreed terms will be incorporated into a Court Order. However, in some cases an agreement cannot be reached. If this is the case, the Court can decide matters for you. You will be fully advised as to the nature and extent of your financial claims against your spouse. We also strive to achieve a speedy resolution of financial issues, so as to eliminate the anxiety and uncertainty you may experience regarding your financial future.
Not every situation leads to Court proceedings and we can advise Clients on Matrimonial Agreements without recourse to legal proceedings. If you do not wish to start divorce proceedings, a Separation Deed can be drawn up between you and your spouse setting out all aspects of the separation and financial matters as agreed. (back...)
